Took the afternoon off to replace the rear shocks, cones and fit hi-lo's! My biggest mini job yet! Here goes nothing!

iDemonix
Passenger door only opens from the outside now, the to-do list is never ending!

*******'s sake. Apparently 2-3am a load of lads pulled up in a black Vauxhall and started looking at my mini then bolted when someone went downstairs. Better invest in that removable steering wheel...

james.c94
just block it in with another car for a while. they can then either start it and do a 5000 point turn or lift it out, I can't see either happening ;)

Removable steering wheels are good, but I tend to find a bear does the job just as well

Ryan, could you please PM me of how that was done if you're able to find out? It'd be massively appreciated as I've thought about something similar before.

@orangeboy Got discharged from physio yesterday so I'm officially back to normal :D Can't feel it very well but what do you expect when you nearly hack it off with a saw.

Welder just called. Apparently has found an unreal amount of filler and bodge. Got to go and inspect before he starts work. *******s sake, I hate previous owners.

Feel like I'm falling out of love with the mini. Floor pan replacement more expensive than thought, go to repair fog light, electrics won't work, go to start it, locking choke no longer locks, rust forming behind arches. Getting annoying now :(

-
Claibo
Pegs are great for chokes!

If it wasn't for the fact I'm putting a new front subby in my mini too, I would attempt the engine change myself :(

-
oltonlad
its easier to change the engine when you are doing the front subby as well.
