Day on the mini tomorrow, got hold of a scaffolding pole attempt numero 4 to get these castle nuts off...wish me luck

The nut on the end of the driveshaft outside the brake disc? has a split pin through it aswell

Oh right, the castle nut!
I thought you were talking about the CV's at first.
You've just got to keep trying with the castle nuts. Make sure you've got plenty of leverage and the correct socket.
