@Moggyton - Just done a quote with Admiral. £610 for the Mini, £780 for the Clio, totalling £1390 for them both on TPFT. Pretty chuffed!
@a_woolhouse - Thats the plan with Henry, a weekend fun car, and the Clio is the daily workhorse :)
@anthonysjb - WAAAAAY too much, nearing double figures I should think o_0, however, he's nearly perfect now which is why I want him to be a weekend car, just bought one of A-SD's car covers to tuck him up over winter :)

I'm under the impression that they do, though that isn't much help haha. Might be worth popping an email to W&P.

My mechanic replaced my wheel bearing around 3k miles ago. The front right one has failed already. Shouldn't they last longer than that?

Depends on 3 thing, fitment, hub wear, quality of the bearing and grease. Cheap bearings have the wrong side spacer, making them collapse. Wrong grease will make them go dry and accelerate wear.

Then theres the curse of the front right wheel, 90% of the bearings i replaced in different minis, are front right ones..weird.

Is there any benefit in using Millers 20/50 mineral (the one that is designed for shared gearbox oil engines) as opposed to Halfords classic?

I've used both mate and to be honest I can't tell the difference. Both seem to have very good ZDDP levels and both give lovely gear changes so I couldn't tell you one is better than the other. I'm sure one of the experts will help you out. Kernowcooper will most likely be able to answer you

They are soooo much more comfortable. They retain the handling characteristics of a Mini, but ride like a modern car. The arch gap is slightly more, but if you have adjustable shocks then no worries :)

After I've installed my Minitastic coil spring kit, is there anything I need to have done? Tracking etc?

Only if you change the ride height, or as artful said, mess with the TRE's :) But the ride height will be all over the shop for the first few weeks, it takes a fair bit of trial and error to keep it right through the settling period, thats from personal experience lol! But persevere, once settled they are superb, best thing Ive ever bought for any Mini for cost vs. improvement.

you may want to have the toe angle looked at is all, tracking shouldn't be a problem
