Yeah except for the fact that the reason why i had the hire car was because the wiring for the fuel injection shorted out over and over again :(

Yeah, my mate has just got a S8 Quattro and its SO NICE :P and its just annoying how the mini is uncomfortable and the fact that I treat it better than if it was another car. Its also really annoying not having a fifth gear but then again with a mini you get all the heads turning and the amount of fun gong around corners.

I find people in the more common classics like Triumphs don't wave because there a bit snobbish, but people in cars like Alvis's always seem to wave at me. Land Rover drivers always wave at each other

There was a fairly lengthy article by K.C on different exhausts, the result was that a 2" pipe single box system, compared to an RC40 was around 4-5bhp, so 10% of a 998's power.

I always use a sportex comp black exhaust system. 1-3/4" bore and cheap (on ebay for around £60-80). I've used it on 850's up top 1380 and have always found it to give good power boost and economy and has a nice note that doesn't give you a headache at 70+
