took my mini to a garage for basic engine servicing, but now they keep finding other mechanical faults... £300 and rising :(

I think it is a problem with the wiring in the bulkhead as it does it often and you wiggle the round and it works, when I get time I shall have a proper look

It's always the way isn't it!? I always now check the weather beforehand, if it looks like it's going to be a groggy one I just avoid it

haha when it comes to cleaning mine, I always plan ahead now. Should be nicer by next week, at least the polish you put on it should keep the paint protected :) haha the dreaded gritter lorries :(
