Stupidly, I can have any exhaust I want or manifold I want, but as soon as I mention an air filter, the price doubles

What is the safe wading depth for a mini? Just been through a flood with water up to my floor and there were no problems, was I lucky?

I can wait until I can afford an buy and insure a V8 Cobra or a TVR...

If you put a V8 against a mini, their fuel economy would probably be about even as the mini would be going flat out and the V8 probably only about half throttle ;)

They did a test on top gear, m3 following a flat out prius... Much better economy in m3!! The e92 v8 one as well!

Hate the roads around where I live sometimes, Stupid log sticking out of the bank pretty much invisible in the dark and caught my wheel arch, cracking it :(

If it's only the plastic arch, maybe you were lucky! But the roads around there in the summer must be pretty good!
Dec 17 2013 08:44 PM -
IainStallard
Yup, just the plastic arch, slight dent under the indicator too but barely noticeable. I guess I needed an excuse to buy a set of new arches anyway, the old ones were horrible!

On average, how much does it coat to have a 12g940 cylinder head rebuilt to stage 3 spec?

From the usual mini stores, speak to BENROSS on turbominis, he's doing my head atm

+1 on Benross, only a couple of minutes from myself and a top bloke. Think it's around £650 for a fully worked head from him.

And Stiggytoo breaks down in his mini again, twice in two days. One from gearbox failure, one from points failure. So that makes it 6 or 7 times now this year :P
