Is there anything wrong with charging the car with the battery still connected, shouldn't blow the alternator should it?

Hi shouldn't damage the car would just put extra load on charger if u have any extras like alarm or radio has constant feed these will still pull a small amount of current even though turned off I would pull a lead off if ya don't want to do that just make sure ur charger has overload protection
Oct 13 2014 06:17 PM -
RedRuby
Use trickle charge only, don't use a fast charge facility if you charger has one.

Do I bother to make a turbo a series when I can just get a k-series engine for much cheaper and have more power :/

The Matt
Add up the cost of either. Any engine conversion costs a LOT more than just buying an engine. Yeah, you can get a K-Series engine for £150, but it'll cost at least a grand for all the other stuff you need to do.

I guess i should add them up properly actually, i do want to keep a-series for the character, but if it keeps going wrong :)

I don't think you can do it for less than £1000 maybe not even £1500. I've spent about £2000 in the last two months and that excludes the bits I already had.

when you put it like that fast and reliable! might have to save some cash up then!
