Where should your gearbox earth go if you have no inner wings? Is the subby fine?

Ideally to somewhere on the main chassis of the car, not on the subframe.

Is it recommended to adjust idle speed at home? I'm booking a rolling road sesh but want to alter it beforehand, it's 1200rpm!

If your taking it to a r&r just ask them to adjust it for you. :) Is the r&r good with classics?

Haha, I will but I have to use it in the mean time! I think so yes, so hopefully they will have a little patience for it!

My idle was 2000rpm on the way to m rolling road because the mixture was that bad and the timing was so far out. Don't worry about it let the rolling road do their stuff lol

How do I tell the difference between 7" and 7.5" front disc while on the car? I can't measure them!

Youre unlikely to have 7" discs unless you have an original 1960s 997 or 998 Cooper. Theyre also deathtraps in disc form.

You can do it using dye-penetrant sprays. A good welding/fabrication should be able to do it you for free if your lucky, only takes a few minutes.

Wider wheels mean more surface area on the road... More friction so car goes slower and more area for stopping....

Not being funny, but I thought this was illegal, and an MOT fail. Unless you have a 'friendly' tester of course. :)
