Turns out that the Mpi I took my fuel lines from has the fuel filter and fittings from a Rover p100 and not a Mini. I'm guessing that was a "We're running low on stock, raid the parts bin" special

The MPi has 2 varients of fuel filter depending on if its an early and later model.
