Give it a few months and ask again. It can be tragic, I know of an Austin 7 that has sat for twenty years rusting into nothing. I have asked repeatedly and am always told 'I am going to restore it'. The guy is now cracking on 70 and the car is beyond saving. Really sad.

Tell me about it, that's all I hear at the moment. I can only imagine people can't let go for sentimental value and then realise its needing work, can't afford it or get round to it and it just wastes away.

Had a lady in Tesco spot our red mini, she mentioned to her young son that it was like hers but its in the garage. I asked to if she wanted to sell. She said "Oh no, its part of the family even though its been in the garage 20 years waiting for her partner to restore. I had to hold back tears!

yeah what's the problem with BINIs- Rover design, and built in Oxford, French engine. Only German connection is that they are owned by BMW. Therefore a Landrover is Indian, and an Aston Martin is American. Hence why I hate stickers in rough minis saying "100% BMW free"...
