|So, standing in a garage and chinwagging with an old friend is just as good as actually working on the project, right???

-
Quincy Sparks
Absolutely! :) Joking aside, thinking about and talking through a project always helps me formulate the best way to tackle it ...

Will be doing the same to mine at the end of this month... :(
It needs to come off the road to have some work carried out on it, so might as well have an excuse to not drive it...

Mine was my daily driver and I was putting too many miles on it. Now drive a Golf and am going to rebuild my minis engine

Typical, the day I take the Mini to work is the same day the M6 is closed. 90 mins stuck in a traffic jam in a Mini with the oil light flickering isn't fun!

idally switch it off if youll be idling for a while, my advice now is to it an oil pressure guage, or fit an adjustable switch

I was 99% sure that it was nothing to worry about, as I have a gauge fitted and it was showing good pressure. Once I got to work and checked, I found that somehow the connector for the oil sensor had come off and was earthing against the clutch housing!

I can probably beat you all when it comes to d***head landlords. I ended up building a kit car chassis in retaliation for the appalling service and treatment I got from my last one (some of you may remember the build thread before it got taken down). I did it to prove a point about the rights I had. I took him to small claims court afterwards and managed to win. He was that bad.

Mine just walks in, rings at stupid hours, left her belongings in most of house including her fridges in my porch that I pay for whilst I pay for storage per month because she says she will move them but doesn't. That isn't even half of it!! Grrrrr

Don't get me started on the unauthorised entry thing. I almost phoned the police on my landlord after one incident involving him letting himself in at 7am in the morning. Thank god I own my own house now. I like knowing I can walk around my house in just my boxers and that I'm safe to do so.

Didn't realise how much grease was inside the rod selector mechanism. Started stripping one down and wow, there was a lot of grease in there.

A*****e lamborghi owner this evening did not like me calling his car "a body kitted MR2" (it was a genuine Lambo) serves him right though for cutting me up and almost forcing me into a parked car.

-
SecretSugar
That insult was sure to rile any lambo owner...love it!

I think he was also annoyed that with an almost completely empty car park I decided to park as close as possible to his drivers door.

Is it the same for an SPI?

Its amazing how badly some people look after a car. How do you lose the owners manual, or spare key? Or in some cases, bits of interior trim?

Working in a main dealer, I've seen it all xD

Went there for my stag do years ago. Threw it down, spent more time going backwards over grass then on the tarmac. Surprised we're all still here... Have to go again ;)
