Just a thought, would Mk1/2 door kick plates such as these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI-MK1-2-ALLOY-DOOR-KICK-PLATES-PAIR-/300804036785?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item46095158b1 fit onto the door pockets of my MPi Cooper? i.e. screwing them into the door pocket?

Just working from memory of the shape of the plastic door pockets. I would say no. I don't think the shape is the same.

Just a quick question guys. (Didn't think it was worth making a topic just for this)How long does it roughly take to change 2 front cones if all goes well?

-
toyboy396
usually a couple of hours and 9 knuckles

We did our the other week, but the subframe was on the bench. We couldnt remove the cones without removing the top arm and they had it. I dont know how people manage to get them out with the top arm in, but hey ho. Id leave 2.5 hours for each side :)

Do I make a set of banded steels for the winter or save and design some splits next year? Hmm... (can you tell i'm trying to avoid uni work lol)

-
Midas Mk1
Im thinking of designing d1 style splits,6" wide, but that'd mean wider arches, sort of going against my orignal concept.
Dayglo orange 5.5" steels with chrome hubcaps however might go with the dayglo grille im doing? but will ultra heavy.... im rubbish at decisions lol

Rear subframe off, now to clean up the back end and weld the new panels on.
