Anyone ever done a k-series to a-series conversion on a rover 100?
Sep 22 2012 07:50 PM
-
chipmongrel360
mostly because in my experience the k-series has been a terrible engine - overheating issues and blown head gaskets etc...plus I reckon there'd be plenty of room for a well built a-series, 1275 turbo or similar...

The K-Series is a great engine, light and powerful. Fit a new MLS head gasket and cure the overheating h/gasket problem.

Mini-Mad-Craig
If you look after a K-Series it'll be fine, they're only crap because people don't do even the most basic maintinence. The K-series is a much larger unit than an A-Series so theres no reason that it wouldn't fit... it's just a massive step backwards from even the 1.1 OHC engine
