When replacing a fuel sender unit, does all the fuel in the tank need to be drained? Stupid question I know but I'm still learning lol

-
Skortchio
Only enough so that it doesn't pour out the hole when you remove the sender ;-)

I put my project on hold for a year or so, I saved up and bought a new daily and now I'm taking my time with the project. I'd rather it went slow than I felt it was a chore. Just a thought, and fattail95 is right,it'll be worth it.

It's soul-destroying to see £10 worth of petrol on the pavement... Hello split petrol pipe!

-

Your experience seems to be considerably worse than mine... All I ended up with was an empty tank and a melted pavement. I take it you managed to get everything cleaned up nicely?

Yeah, I just got slightly high off petrol fumes for a few months after :L

So that's what that smell is... My Mum deduced that it was Carbon Monoxide that she could smell, and came to the conclusion that I'd probably die from inhaling it!
