How long is a piece of string? Is it coming from the sump plug? Is it running down the block + on to the sump? How much oil?

As the longer bottom arm pushes the bottom ball joint outwards, the fixed length tie bar will pull it forward. So you'll reduce the effect of the longer bottom arm as it's not straight and you'll also alter your caster angles. Boom!
