I am so paranoid about my mini, all the rust patches on it and the engine that I repainted and stripped is all dirty now, I can't appreciate it without worrying about it and all the problems it has :(

Will I most likely snap my brake pipe union when trying to undo it from the backplate? Or does the nut rotate freely on the metal tube?

depends how corroded it is really, get some good penetritive spray and soak it for a while before you try

i payed 350 for a metro lump in good nick, when i went to get it he threw in a gearbox, head and new ignition bits
