is £1500 too small a budget for an early-90's no-frills (but no rust) 998cc carb'd model?

The 'no rust' may be hoping for a bit too much...but theres some nice little minis on ebay at the moment within your budgethttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/austin-mini-abandoned-project-NO-RESERVE-/130612995851?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1e6924270b

Hey Max, I'm after a manual as I'm not an auto fan. First and third is auto - the third is gorgeous though. Second one looks just the ticket, small project, think it might sell for out my budget though, contacting seller, ty!

Stupid question; Can I presume that a 1275 MPi engine is an actual 'A series' engine?

-
mini-luke
Yes, though they don't have a dizzy drive hole which preludes a straight swap with a SPI or carbed 1275

21, 3 years license, 0 NCB, quoted £430 F/C on a mini, not bad at all.

Deathrow: how could they?
Dec 07 2011 05:30 PM -
Deathrow
In the event of a claim they'll do anything to avoid paying out. That includes proving that you drive the car more than the main driver.
I've heard of them asking people around where you live who they see driving the car most.
iDemonix, was your quote similar by any chance?

My policy is driving since 19, Tpf&t, my own car, my own policy with nobody else on, kept on my drive. I can't see how youre getting it that cheap off footman james. My first year at 19 was £534! it dropped by a few quid last year and my renewal went up this year by 60%.
