I did the maths and worked out that I will be just as bad off breaking it and selling it off in spares than if I had claimed for it but at least this way I don't loose 8 years NCB. I also get a donor Z19DTH engine that I can fit into another Vectra, Astra, Saab, Fiat or Alfa if I want. There are plenty of them knocking around with blown engines and that is the one bit of mine that is still in good order.

Yeah the idea of a gap period where people just laze around all day doesn't sound too good. I'd love to take a month and travel around this amazing country and not have to worry about work or money... will require some saving :P What are your plans for your "gap months"?

Well they won't really be gap months as I'll be going to work on a daily basis but I'll have some free weekends again. Which I plan to finish the mini, go to CPT for some long street clubbing and some wine tasting (I enjoy my red wines), if I can save enough I would like to go visit the USA and if all goes well complete an Ironman triathlon.

If you make your way to cape town, you should let us know - we can organise a meet of sorts (or come down at the end of a month as that is when we meet). Good luck if you take on ironman. I have a friend who has done it for the past 3 years, it seems really epic. Also when down in CT, make sure to visit the motor museum. Well worth it for petrol heads like us.
