Yes the red bit is the clutch arm. The bell housing cover on a manual is a cast aluminium part on an auto it is a pressed steel part.

I do love taking the mini for a drive on a warm sunny day. Parked up next to the beach and several people coming to have a look and take pics. Feels good to own a classic :)

I've taught my children to hold zips etc..... Woman and handbags are another matter too! Amount woman I see looking in to people's cars and their handbags are just dangling there with metal bits bobbing about -__- I get angry and I'm a woman!!

Makes me shudder when I see people unlocking their cars with the keylock and all their other keys are jangling and clattering against the paintwork...

Pingu, that happened to me! A woman's bag hit my car and I got so angry, I think I nearly gave the woman a heart attack... and I didn't even feel bad

I think if I'd had more than one wheel stud snap I'd be changing them all out as a precaution. If they are all the same age, matl spec, heat, etc & have seen same service conditions.

Yeah, mini-auto, I did that on the other hub earlier. They were probably overtightened at some point in the past. Might be worth replacing all the studs on all the wheels for piece of mind.

It's about a mile and half to my Mum's house but, in the Mini on a day like today, I managed to make it 7 :-D

Nope, This is in the countryside though. The nearest town and proper supermarket is about a 20 minute drive away. there are other small villages within a mile radius though so it's not isolated

So it would really suck if you lived there and didn't drive

I was more of a mass gathering than an organised show at Bristol Queens Square. It had absolutely everything there, from V8 Pickup Trucks to DeLorens. Much better than expected, loved it :)

Whilst in the queue at a place selling Mini parts today I didn't feel as much the amateur as I used to. When you hear comments such as "no thats the wrong choke cable, thats for a fuel injection model" you know your not at the bottom end of Mini repair knowledge.

My dad was the one that got me into cars and especially minis as he had them when he was a kid.
