How comes 3rd party fire and theft is £30 dearer than fully comp with the same details, and what exactly is the difference between unemployed and independent means? As the latter is a further £60 cheaper, I’m sure insurance is a joke.

I've also found the insurance on a standard 998 mini, which now with 10 years no claims has been slowly going back up to about what I was paying/quoting for 5 years ago

Best insurance company for 106 1.1 @ 22 years old. I've got 2 years no-claims, and will get my third in June, on the mini? No black boxes though. :)

+! on named drivers, i've been getting quotes for when I pass (17, 0 NCB, £1500+!) and putting parents on can make as little difference as £10 but up to £100 maybe more. Just play with the options till you get the cheapest xD

Thanks all. He's been obsessed for a while. He has a Mini 40. Engine and box back from Guessworks tomorrow and back in over the Easter Hols.

Anyone know where can i find the original sound insulation that came behind the dash/bulkhead? Mine had the open shelf and there is a thick padded insulation which i would like to replace!

I've bought replacement ball joint sets from Minispares, for both hubs and I'm just buying the splitter now.

I would put the nut on even if you are replacing the ball joints as it will give you a better surface area to push against and there will be less chance of it slipping off. Personally i like the fork type splitters and a BIG hammer
