Tomorrows job will be to remove the 1300 Countryman's engine, split it from the box and pull the crank. Put the crank into my 1300 Maestro engine and put that onto a rod change box. Then maybe get it back into the Countryman.

Sounds like a PITA.. Can't you get another 1300 crank? I got one..

I've got plenty of 1275 cranks. Im just hoping the one in the Countryman is good enough that it won't need a grind. It's got to be split appart away so it's worth a look.

I have mayo on inside of my rocker cover and oil cap but it could that water that has been built up since not being used

Ya could be due to lack of use and short journeys can also contribute to Mayo in the rocker cover

I got in mine at the weekend, started it and tried to drive off with the Eagle Claw still locked over the steering wheel. Duh!

Well I know have a road bike, and I seem to have accidentally got a theme of white and blue. At least both bikes match

Wow.. Bullmotif Minispares £86 cheaper than Minispares on near identical basket!?

Fast Ivan
there's going to be a reason for that price difference - probably quality

Was searching for a part or two to throw my spare engine back together. Gaskets, bearings, piston rings, bolts, timing chain kit... Was a surprise, I'll give it a go

Use the one off the project mini until you can get hold of another?

I very much doubt any motor factor will have a clutch arm. I have a spare I can post out on loan Karl. PM me if you need it and I'll have a look.

thanks Matt, I'm using the one off the project mini (witch was running) for the time being, also didn't know if welding the worn arm would be a viable option with the quality of some new parts these days.

Keep yer chin up mate - no matter what he says, just think to yourself that you will beat it and enjoy life no matter what is thrown at you. I had a good mate who was badly burned at 17 and a half on the Sir Galahad in the Falklands War (same ward etc as Simon Weston), fella lived life to the full.

I didn't know such jobs existed anymore. Figured all engineers became "consultants" or went into finance

Yeah, I'm in a weird place career-wise atm. Not really done much work for the last year, but waiting on some big changes work wise.

as long as you get paid, less work means more time for TMF and youtube :)
