I find it harder to find stuff once i have tidied up.
I sent ages yesterday looking for my long arm grips which i knew had been on my welding trolley for the last 6 months but as i had tidied up they had been 'put away'

Been quoted 700 by garage I use but monday insurance garage will check it out, my insurance have said if it's 700ish on a 2000 car they'd write it off. Will see what happens mon & then either all nice and fixed or new car plus buy it back of cheap enough :-)

without being the bearer of bad news, a 26 year old mini without an agreed valve will be written off, if your lucky it might not be deemed non-repairable and scraped.

To be honest I'm expecting her to be written off so am prepared for the bad news, they said on phone will most likely be end result...If can buy her back will do but wait and see for that.

It's like a stop *******. There are 3 screws on top of the float chamber. Have a Google and check it out. You sometimes just get grit in the valve and it doesn't shut off the fuel supply so it just overflows.

I had a look 10 mins after turning the car off, and everything on the carb seemed bone dry. Could it have just been some condensation that I seen dripping from it?
