Thats good,any issues with electrics are easier to diagnose in carb models.You mentioned that your Mini doesn't like to start.If you thinking about changing battery buy battery for Peugeot 306 diesel-higher cranking amperage.

Is battery earth strap in good condition?Also battery cable lead must be in good condition,especially during the winter.I had few deep dents in my battery cable lead and had problems with starting my Mini...

Running 20 mins late for work, so I decide to curl my hair, French plait it, and try on three outfits. Even I don't understand the logic. Then try the mini and the snow has killed her. Fiesta it is :(

Today I need to put it back on it's side to finish some welding on the inner sill and then weld on the brake pipe retainers and battery cable retainer so not really anything quiet. I have some bits to do this morning so ill start a bit later

Yup definitely will increase fuel consumption, cause it increases the exposed area, hence increasing the drag... wonder by how much though. Probably only a significant effect at higher speeds 80 km/h and above.

my top speed is restricted to 90 km/h due to excessive wheel wobble :P Obviously a wheel balancing problem

My '95 SPi mini is behaving pretty strange at the moment. When i turn my heater on or the rear screen heater on the electrics cut out for everything except the headlights, main beam and the hazards. The immobilizer also makes its "arming" sound.This also happens every time i put the car into reverse? Any ideas?
