Got some mk1 light conversion plates on the way but do I go with mk1 rear lights to match the mk1 grille or get mk2s? Or just keep my mk3s? Aggghhh I don't know!

1993 Rover Metro 1.1 S
Just my daily drive, but it was 100% solid, low mileage and with no signs of head gasket, or any other issues. just a really great reliable and perfect running little car.

ouch, an overheated K series, man that sucks what have the garage said regarding acceptance of blame ?
Oct 01 2014 10:26 PM -

Just been up to see him and he thinks it was the temp sender, and a cracked pipe to blame..... seems very coincidental and iffy..... but i know that if when i finally get it back i have issues, im going knocking on his door!

Sometimes I just don't know why I bother with the mini. You fix one thing and find 2 more problems! When will it end!!!????

My last 3 breakdowns were due to new parts failing!, and I never buy cheap bits but no doubt there made cheaply somewhere foreign!

You buy cheap you buy twice! That's a very common saying when it comes to car parts.....

Really considering selling the mini and getting a more suitable daily driver now. As much as I love it

I've been forced to do this twice, regret instantly you will, if needed, buy second car.

Dont you will regret it!!! i did the same only lasted a month as i sold it to replace it with another mini :)

I cant afford to run two cars or put this off the road and buy another. My family agree that it should be sold as im using it everyday for a 50 mile round trip and with the roads like they are its not great :/

Do I bother to make a turbo a series when I can just get a k-series engine for much cheaper and have more power :/
Sep 30 2014 10:03 PM
-
The Matt
Add up the cost of either. Any engine conversion costs a LOT more than just buying an engine. Yeah, you can get a K-Series engine for £150, but it'll cost at least a grand for all the other stuff you need to do.

I guess i should add them up properly actually, i do want to keep a-series for the character, but if it keeps going wrong :)
Oct 01 2014 05:32 PM -

Turbo A-series IMO.

Why stop? If you're enjoying yourself sing away! Nowt wrong with that :-)
Sep 30 2014 09:21 PM -

But it was 'my heart will go on'!! shocking!!!!
I only started singing it because my other half was in the kitchen and something went wrong, she shouted out something that happened to be the first two words of one of the verses so i just continued it on with the song...
