A very wet day spent at Cosford LMA. Atleast I got a deal on model fuel as I bought so much.

I was planning on buying 10L of optifuel 25% for my MGT 4.60 SE and glow plugs, but it can wait given it will cost over £60!

Given your experience with R/C planes, are they difficult to fly/land?
Jul 19 2014 05:11 PM -

They aren't kid's toys as people think they are. It takes the average person 6-12 months to learn to fly one given proper tuition. They can KILL if you hit someone which is why you are supposed to have 3rd party insurance to fly them. Most students when I teach them roll the thing over and put it in a dive the first time they try and just do a basic turn.

Thought I'd put a bi of air into my back tyre with a footpump. Few pumps and then the plastic valve stop on the pump pinged off, air howling out of the tyre, clip stuck to the valve. Managed to get it off. Now only 10psi in the tyre. Don't buy an AA Essentials pump. It's c**p.

Cor, thats quite a work out, pumping up a car tyre with a foot pump!

I use a track pump most of the time, the compressor takes more effort to get out

Just ran out and bought an RAC double-barrel one from Argos. £17.99. Hardly any effort and done in no time (well, a lot less than driving to the nearest free air anyway). Good one!

I was grinding at 12:20am this morning but then I have the advantage of being in the middle of nowhere and farm machinery was running through the night anyway. I'd say after about 10am is acceptable on weekends

Gave a 'young un' a lift home from work in the mini yesterday. He spent ages looking at the door handle then asked if it was for adjusting the wing mirrors. Bless.

He was even more surprised when I explained the actual mechanism for adjuting wing mirrors on a mini I.E wind down windows, extend arm etc etc :-)

If I am taking the radiator out, and I cannot undo the bottom hose clip, am I just as well to undo the other end of the hose and pull the radiator out with the hose?

Just had a look at mine, 1989 mini thirty, and pink/white and white are on the positive side. Then white/black on the negative side if that's any help. Dont take my word for it though, just the set-up on my car.
