I've just remembered I've left etch primer on for a few weeks without any protection.. Will it still be alright?

How many coats did you do?

One or two I think, it's inside the drivers footwell and there's only a couple of holes where moisture could get in!

Anybody going to Beaulieu with an spi, I will be taking both my fault code readers and will test anybodies car for the price of a bacon roll :)

I LOVE BOB AGAIN!!! Got him back after a long time, many hours of work and many replaced and uprated parts..... amazing. Ran spot on, handled amazingly and looks stunning. Ive been so close to selling up, but with this weather and him finaly behaving, almost makes the stress of the thing worth it.

Do I sell my 12G295 head at beaulieu or do I hold onto it? Decisions...

Clubman? Countryman? I'm getting my own back. From now on, it's a Cooperess.

Haha, I did that 6 months ago on mine when the pump split - only 2 bolts and over 2 sodding knuckle scraping hours later it was done! I have invested in ratchet spanners since then! My knuckles and back are thankful!

If anyone is nearby to Castle Coombe, the under 17 driving club is holding a magic day where people turn up with interesting cars and offer people rides in them for charity. PM me if anyone would be interested in bringing their mini, it would be so cool for a bunch of minis to turn up and do their bit.

Taking the mini to driving club this weekend, really excited to get back behind the wheel after a lot of work done on her

No, however you can tune an auto engine. The gearbox will only take about 80BHP IIRC! And an auto gearbox rebuild is circa £1,000...

You have to be careful though the cam you use has enough torque where the converters stall speed is to pull away uphill ok

Would my 94 Cooper have black arches and white mirrors as standard? Or are the chrome arch covers and mirrors correct?

-
RooBoonix
Yeah the black arches are under the covers. Minispares says the white ones were fitted then. Oh well. "Exterior decorative changes" puts the insurance up millions so may have to leave the boring look for a while

The black arches look better IMO, chrome ones look a tad tacky. I wouldn't have thought that would put the price up that much. If it was like it when you bought it I wouldn't put it down...

Well I'm going to be 17 and it almost doubles it. I wasn't going to note it down, I wasn't sure if the chrome was the equivalent to an "optional extra" fitted from factory? I'm not sure I want to risk it

Love these C-130s coming over at a few hundred feet at the bottom of the garden, couldn't believe how quickly they rolled from 45 degree bank.

Get that all the time were on the low flying route they practice on when they leave brize, had things fall of shelfs because the house shakes and they also have a habit of going over at 2 in the morning
