whats people mpg with a 1275 , ported head and 276 cam ? i get 120 to about 35 quid

35 quid is what, 6 gallons, so 20mpg. That's poor, but it'll obviously depend on driving style/conditions/speed/gearing. On a long run, i'd be hoping for 35mpg+ as a minimum

yea bout 21 , i went shell island from stoke , and i used a tank full granted i was fully loaded and had a roof rack on but it seems bout the same anywhere, i carnt remember what diff i have in to be honest and it doesnt seem change much when driving hard or normal

Maybe look at tyre pressures, brakes binding ...stuff like that too. Even if you have a lead foot 20 is on the low side!

Great day out at Tatton Park Classic Car show where there were plenty of Minis on display. Good to talk to members of Manchester Minis and South Lanc's Mini Club plus all the private owners there too :)

I'm afraid it's time to give up on the mini dream for a number of reasons. Firstly I need practicality, secondly my legs are just too damn long (can't turn steering wheels in minis) and thirdly again to do with my height, my legs would be really bad if I was in a crash in one.

Seat extension brackets do make the world of difference and as for the accident thing, mini's hold up better than you think.
