Hit a massive puddle, water over the bonnet, round the doors and through the vents, mate kept running though, felt like I hit a brick wall

Could have been worse as I had moved over to the right to avoid a pot hole I knew was there, sl it could of been way worse

MrElliott
anyone know what voltage i should be reading from my radio wires? 1990 rover mini :)

-
RossKnight
the radio should just be powered from a switched and live 12v source? can fluctuate obviously..
Apr 03 2014 06:04 PM -
MrElliott
should there still be 12v when the ignition key is at the 0 mark? i just get next to no voltage from any wires when the key is in the 0 position

RossKnight
You can get a constant 12v feed even when there's no key in the ignition. A radio will need one of these constant feeds to keep the memory for stations etc. And it will also require a 'switched 12v' so something that only comes on when the key is turned.

smithyboy
How soon after getting your first mini is it acceptable to add more to the collection?

-
smithyboy
Ah so a month is long enough then :) seriously tempted to add a Cooper to the Tahiti although the space on the driveway would fast be running out :\

A book I bought in 2010 for £90 I've just sold on ebay for £1900. Happy days :)

Yup. A Victorian periodical called The Savoy that had a signed message in it. It's going to pay for my Monaco Grand Prix road trip next month!
