Why are the ultimate mini dvds so expensive? does anyone know the best place to buy them, amazon is the cheapest so far

smithyboy
Thinking about getting a cheap welder and teaching myself ... any ideas on good cheap machines to practice with?

get a decent one off ebay for less than 100, get a gas one, they cost a little more, but the welds are so much better

You can certainly pick it up yourself at home. avoid non-gas ones. don't be blinded by brands, Clarke or another entry level unit will do you just fine. I work for a fabricating company and we sell old units off for good money. ESAB, Murex, Kempi all good units. PM if you like

-
miniman24
Awesome, get a few pics up! Ive just spent the last half hour trying to explain to my housemates why its important to have these specific vents but theyre having none of it :D

Haha...yeah, not going to try and justify it to anyone....always going to lose that argument! I've added a pic to my build thread. Haven't built them both back up yet, or put them in the car.

So when I think I'm coming close to sanding down my mini ready for prime coat, BAM! And extra £80 that has to come out of my pocket on panels:( my mini thinks I'm made of money :(

-
crf150
Not when you haven't got enough money to scratch you a** with ! until i get paid, hopefully that should be the end of the buying panels and welding, will be happier spending money on bits other than panles !

Ever considered making your own to save money?

crf150
To save myself £10-15 for each panel, I would rather buy them because then they are going to be more accurate than the mess I would try to make !

I'd use a Bilt Hamber clay bar if I were you. Worth it's weight in gold.
