I had the same trouble, have you got a Dremel or a die grinder? If you have try get a tungsten carbide bur and just slowly cut into one side of the race, once your al the way through it will just pull out

Yeah I might try that tomorrow I see on the net some one used 2 1 inch washers with a flat plate a bolt and nut used as a puller

I tried the washers but didn't work too well on the input shaft nose bearing. But worked on the idler bearing

Oh on days like this I wish I had a garage so I can continue to do work on the mini even if it's raining :(

Annoying feature discovered on my vectra this morning. You can't stop the wipers part way even by switching the ignition off while they are on so can't put a cover on my windscreen while it sits in the car park at work. Probably going to have to crack out the de-icer later :(

I have a full car cover but its just a little awkward to fit by myself when my car is parked at work.

do what we do and just use an old bed sheet trap it in the doors and under the wipers :)

I can't trap it under the wipers. They sit right at the bottom against a plastic panel and they can't be stopped part way up. Its only a problem while I am at work. When I am at home the car is garaged
