I always leave my car in gear now because I know how bad the hand brake is. I reckon a month is about right. The mechanism is a poor design so it keeps seizing up causing the cable to stretch.

Drove the mini to work after using the 'Euro box' for the last week. It so much more fun than a modern car

will never understand why people blur out car licence plates - you see a million every day and unless you are in the trade you'll struggle to find out much from it!

Most places on ebay will make up plates with any reg on with no proof needed.

Yeah, you're right, but the bottom line is that you won't be fined. Officially, you need to be registered with the DVLA to print plates for use on the public highway.

So, the 2 week repair by my local garage of the driveshafts has finally been done, only for the garage to call me and say, actually the final drive is also done for, so another month of waiting and a heap more money :@ Starting to fall out of love with it now, it never seems to be working, im on a very low apprentice wage and these bills are killing me, and i commute 70 miles a day which causes huge probables when i dont have a car cus its in the garage. Not a well behaved little car, and at...

Mmm I was doing 60 miles a day in mine until march! to be fair for a 34 year old car she only let me down big time twice. once wen loom burned out and once with a head gasket. You really need to learn how to mend it because like you say it will cripple you! You could probably do drive shafts in a day even with out much mechanical knowledge as long as you had some help and a Haynes manual

Yea i guess for an 80,000 mile car its not doing too bad :/ and i like to do as much as possible but cus of difficult access and just plain laziness to be honest :P the garage got this one XD. And I have to say in a crazy hour today the idea of a new enginge had crossed my mind ;) hahaha

Standards for me, I think LED lights can look very aftermarket and tacky... As long as they're not too stand out they'd be a good addition I'd imagine

If you are not happy just be awkward and ask them for a copy of all cctv footage and pictures they have taken of you everyday. By law they have to provide you with a copy.
