I was given this forum address off a friend of mine.

Im called Simon, and Im 21 and live in Leeds.

Ive just purchased my first 1987 Austin Mini Mayfair.

I bought it on Ebay for £260.00.

Its been sat on a drive for the last 7 years, and needs alot of work doing on it!

At the moment its not a runner,

The battery is Flat as its been sat on a drive for 7 years,
But the lady i bought it off, said the engine ran fine when she sbought it 7 years ago.

The engine now looks dirty more than any thing, Will try and get some more pictures put up.
Im looking at getting a new battery, change the oil and spark plugs and going to give it a blast and see what happens.

Do it! And flush the coolant through beforehand......Oooh and expect the clutch to be stuck....
