I'm sending out a big thank you to Rich Hawcroft for saving my bacon. I placed an order with Mini Spares on Friday afternoon. This morning I got an email from Rich questioning if really wanted what I ordered. Among the many items I ordered I included the con rod bolts and and nuts. The mistake I made was I ordered the wrong nuts for an a+ 1275 and Rich noticed that.

I replied to Rich and thanked him for catching that error. He said it was just dumb luck. I think it was much more than that. I've been told that luck is when knowledge and opportunity meet. So his knowledge of these cars and his conscientious attitude are what kept me from facing a lengthy delay in reassembling my engine.

If I lived in the UK it wouldn't be a big deal but I'm on the other side the pond where delivery takes a bit longer.
