hello.
I need some more computer help for about the 5th? time.

I had a blue screen come up, and it said that windows had been shut down to avoid damage or somthing But now it wont boot up, it says

Intel Boot Agent Version 4.0.17

Copyright © 1997 - 2001, Intel Corporation

Intel Base-Code, PXE-2.0 (Build 083)

Copyright © 1997 - 2001, Intel Corporation

Client MAC ADDR: 00 03 47 DD 07 ED GUID: 603D2902 - E81D - B211 - 8000 - ACC46933AC65

PXE-E53: No Boot filename received

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.

I have disabled Pxe, and the screen goes black like its booting from the harddrive, but it stays black, any ideas to what this could be?.
Sometimes it starts and says no operating system found, XP is installed on the harddrive, but i only got the computer a few weeks ago, and the first time i turned it on it said that, but i pressed enter and it booted fine.

Any Help Much appretiated.

Thanks
Craig

lol!

Ok, It started up, It has life, but it says one of the system 32 files is gone :shifty: which windows needs to boot, It says i can Restore it with the Original windows boot disk, which the Pc didnt come with :) .
If anybody has one they could send to me temporaily, and once ive restored the file i will send it straight back, unless there is there another way of creating a boot CD? the only burner i have is on the computer which is broke.

Thanks
Crasig

If its a dll, and you know the name of it try looking on dll-files.com Once you find the one you're looking for, pop it into your system32 folder and bob's your uncle, fa**y's your aunt etc etc.
Oh dammit it censored my fa**y!! :(

You got any spare working pcs knocking around? If you have its a reasonably easy fix. If you haven't then you're screwed...

yeh mate ive got 3 in my room.
Im thinking, if i make a Bootable XP disk, And copy the whole system32 directory from a working XP pc, it might boot and replace the files?

Thanks

You could do that, but what I'd do is put the hard drive into one of your other computers as a slave and then copy the files you need on to it. If you dont know how to do that or something then I'll be back on MSN eventually or you could try googling it...
