Hi my wiper stalk is really loose and when i indicate the whole wiper/indiactor stalk assembly moves, the screw and bracket clamping the wiper/indicator stalk to the assembly has snapped off. i was just wandering if anyone has had this before, and if so, how did you get around it??
new stalk assemblys are expensive

and i have an aftermarket steering wheel with a horn push button in the middle which i'd like to use, how do i go about wiring this up from the existing horn press?

cheers!

I imagine there is a way to fix the securing ring, but I can't think of it myself.

And yes replacements are damned expensive.

I'd imagine the centre horn push would be for earlier models?

i tightened the screw on mine as it was also loose - it is underneath the column. however i tightened a bit to much, and it snapped at the top!
in the end i drilled through the plastic and into the column (carefully!) and secured it with a self tapping screw.

My horn switch broke so I wired a new one in using a switch from an old computer case. I tapped onto the purple and purple and black wires and works fine. Hope that helps
