Petrol Prices

As I was walking to uni yesterday I checked how much petrol was, as I seem to do everyday, as I walk past Asda. It was 105.9 as it have been for the last 2 weeks. However, on they way back it was 103.9. I thought that this was pretty good and was pleased to see it go down.
However, on the way to uni today it was 99.9!!!!
Under a quid! Good Day!
Is it the same everywhere or has Asda in Hatfield discovered a cheaper way of making petrol?

Pretty darn good! Although it makes me want to go for a long drive to use up all my £1.05.9 stuff to put some cheap stuff in. Something not quite right about that

Anyone realise that the price of oil was more expensive a year ago, yet petrol was cheaper a year ago too...
That doesn't surprise me at all !!! Also when gas and electricity prices went through the roof this year one of the excuses the companies used was the fact that the prices were directly linked to the price of oil so they couldn't control it!!!! Shouldn't they be dropping as well now if that's the case !!!!

But yes, a few of the supermarkets (think it's Tescos, Morrisons and Asda) have lowered their unleaded prices to average at 99.9p and other petrol companies are being urged to follow suit considering that when the price of oil went up the price of petrol went up immediately, yet when the price of oil fell, it took some time before petrol prices to did the same.
And yes, the Brown man is supposedly going on at petrol companies to pass on the rate cuts to the consumer. http://news.bbc.co.u...ess/7662918.stm <--- Price of crude has halved since the summer, yet petrol prices haven't even gone down by a quarter
Supposedly prices of pretty much every other consumable will go down, or at least they should too. We'll see...
