Hi there

I recently had an accident in my mini and other party has accepted liability.

My mini is a mini equinox 1996 injection mini, with 104,000 miles on it.

He has offered £1200 + i get to keep the car.

Would my mini equinox being a limited edition, worth a bit more than that ?

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks
Ming

I have an agreed value with Footman James, of £3000. I had to go to an independant Mini garage for an inspection. You could try going to where you last had work done for an idea. I thought mine was a bit low, compared to other friend's cars. But Equinoxs aren't based on Coopers which seem to be the magic word.
Mine has done 86,000 miles and I've had it since new.

Mine has been rammed 4 times, only twice with me in. I have found you have to fight for a fair resolution, often negotiating through a garage that you use regularly - don't be forced into using an Insurance recommended bodyshop (they tend to be more expensive and do a poorer job). Remember that Insurance companies will protect their own interests and not your's and that many insurance companies are part of the same company.
