I am looking at a 1966 car (not a mini :fear: ), it needs restoration. It has no V5. Is it easy to apply still for a new one? Or has the deadline passed and does it have to be re-registered? It still is on a green logbook. Cheers

I think you'll have to apply for a new log book - will cost you £19 for a replacement but should be able to get it if you use the right form! ask you local licensing Post Office!

There is something or other about pre '72 cars that aren't on V5's having missed the deadline for the update of the registration system but it is possible that your car has been put on the new system and they just don't have a current address for the owner. You need to contact the DVLA about this really.
