Just reinstalled my SPI engine and it's running a bit rough at the moment, so I've started doing a few checks and found the oxygen sensor relay not working.............
The relay is good,
Cable between relay coil and ECU is good
12volt supply to relay contacts
No 12volt across coil. (cold engine)
Does any member know when the relay should operate, or am I barking up the wrong tree? Is there another problem that could cause this or do I have a duff ECU...............
Thanks folks
Chris

I see no one else has ventured to reply.
Sorry to say, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. If I recall correctly, this sensor does kick in at a certain temperature. I'm sure I have read this somewhere in my travels.
Run it up to operating temperature and try the circuit again. You'll probably find the circuit and relay is fine.
Can't offer any other advice. Good luck with it!

Thanks Boyracer.........I'm in the process of making a test harness that I can use to break into the oxygen sensor cables to monitor heater volts and lambda output ............will report my findings!Run it up to operating temperature and try the circuit again. You'll probably find the circuit and relay is fine.
