just fitted new engine into the car , the new starter motor is pre enaged . my 998 engine used a intertia type starter motor.

i would like to no how do i go about changing the wireing? so it suits a pre engaged starter motor.

I kept the solenoid from the inertia starter and used the existing wiring and connected it to the piggyback solenoid on the pre-engaged starter.

I swapped the wires on the terminals on the inertia solenoid.

You need exactly one short wire.

Either use a big cable shoe or file the connection smaler.
It doesn't matter to function.

You need a wire-bridge from were the big + cable (just the old one coming from the solenoid) attaches to the big cable shoe above/behind.
That's it. The starter gets engaged and the rest of the electrics stays untouched.
Works for over two years now...
