Thanks,you were spot on,I realised as i looked at the reverse detent bolt head that when i sent the box it had a reverse switch in that i had asked to be changed to the non switch type and i thought "bet there is no spring and detent in there" and there wasn't.
Maybe he had a pebble in his shoe at the time as he does a great job normally .
Thanks again guess works .knowledge is power,I would have paid for that.
