Hi,
I have 87 city e.
I have fitted seat pivot extending plates and re fitted the seat, however I cant go as far bac as i would like without passing the end of the rail that the hook sits under to prevent the seat tipping.
Can I just ignore this or can i adjust the mech to keep it on that rail?

Anyone got any clues?

Cheers

Personally i would move the rail back abit, You could use the seat without it but if you were to have an accident, you could end up with your head through the roof.

If you remove the carpet and have a feel/look underneath you will see its just a matter of drilling a few more holes.

Hopefully that helped abit.

i think its part of the MOT to check that the seat is fitted to the floor and can't tip up

Hi- I am 6ft 7 and I have moved the rail back to allow the seat to move further back on the adjusters- You have got to be careful about the seat rubbing against the rear companion bins though! I can just drive it from the rear seat but I am not quite sure of the legality of that!
