my mini wont fire up, and i cant work out how.
i have replaced all spark plugs, and fuel pump (broke)

i have bought a new starter motor, but the engine is ticking, just isnt firing up.

car has fully charged battery, imobiliser IS off.

i cant work out why

anyone no why, or has had the same experience?

right you need to be more specific about the word 'ticking'.

Is there one loud click then nothing, or is the engine spinning over and then not starting?

If it's the earlier:
- This means there's not enough power, or the starter is broke.
- I suspect either not enough battery power, loose power lead, or jammed starter.

If it's spinning but not starting.
- Check you've got a spark, and check you've got fuel going in.
