Ok, Well my exhaust has been blowing for a while now. Very badly...
Ive managed to get the car up and get the exhaust patched up with a Bakedbeans can and 2 Jubilee clips.

However, its begining to blow again and get louder.

How much am I looking at for a new front piece for my pipe.
Its the whole down pipe, Y-piece, Flexible bit, and pipe. It goes from the engine to the Silencer. and it is all one bit.

For a 1995 Rover Mini sprite 1.3injection.

click carb needle, inlet and outlet manifold link pipe and back box, element air filter and all neccesary gaskets and fittings you need to do the task try mini spares im sure if you ring em and ask em nicely they could give you something cheaper instead of the carb needle like knock a bit off a stainless steel exhaust or a pancake filter instead, theyre great there

A stage one is usually both manifolds (inlet and exhaust), the y piece (if you get an LCB exhaust manifold), the big long pipe that goes to the back then you can usually choose between one or two boxes and some tailpipe options.

May i recommend this...

Maniflow zorst

like it say's you'd also need a manifold, a Long Centre Branch or a 3 into 1, and probably a K&N or similar replacement air filter

what? who said that?

I'd say always go for a well built kit too (usually the dearer ones from minispares or maniflow) as these will fit first time unlike cheapo kits.

With a 3-1 manifold like i got you'll get a little bit of bent pipe about a foot long as well. This helps the pipe curve round the gear changer bit. Some cheap kits do this bit badly apparently!

Ok, For the record...
The jack is on the front subframe Jacking point... Dont worry, I checked in my "Haynes" manual first. :cheese:

Yes, I know I should have an axle stand but that jack has held a merc up for 24 hours. So im sure its capable of a mini.

Anyway, its no good me buying a backbox. I need the front part of the exhaust. Thats where its gone. RIGHT at the front...

As soon as it levels out after the Y piece... Only thing is. On mine, the downpipes, Y piece and the bit what is knackered are all one piece.

Also i think you should have the body of the jack parallel to the body rather than at 90 degrees, especially where the jack has obviously moved forwards as its lifted and gone into the gravel....
Just because the jack held for 24hours doesnt mean it will hold indefinitely. Its like saying i drove across a give way crossroads once at full chat without looking and i didnt die, so i can do it again!!
Anyway im sure youre tired of getting told off now so ill shut up :saywhat:

what we're saying binge is that if you're going to replace some parts of the exhaust why not do all of it while you're there and get a load more performance in the bundle? :erm:

i really really think you wouldn't regret it!
