
Broken Horn..

Year: 1990.
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):
Basically my horn isn't working, simple as that, It hasn't worked for a few weeks now.I've tried cleaning up the contact but still no luck, not sure if the horn is simply just knackered after many years of use.
Any tricks and tips, or do these thing just die after a while? Seeing as they aren't a complex thing in the first place.

I'm going on the motorway and some a-roads later so I guess I should have got this working before hand! but the main reason I want to get this fixed is so I can hoot at other minis and nice classics

happened to me and i was stumped, as no major electricals are on that fuse i didnt realise that was the problem.

Standard 4 fuse box mounted on the bulkhead: -
1 1-2 35amp Brake Lights, Reverse Lights, Direction Indicators & Rear Screen Demister.
2 3-4 25amp Horn, Headlamp Flasher, Brake Failure Circuit & Radio Memory.
3 5-6 25amp Heater Blower Motor, Windscreen Wipers, Washer Motor & Instruments.
4 7-8 15amp Side & Tail Lights & Panel Lights.
1-2 These circuits only operate with the ignition switch at position "II".
5-6 These circuits only operate with the ignition switch at position "I" or "II".

Should the horn work when the key is switched two to the right? Mine only works when the ignition is on.
