Hi there

I just bought a Smith Voltmeter of ebay and trying to figure out where to tap the wire to power the Voltmeter. Should I tap a wire from the fusebox? Or is it better to tap from the ignition barrel? If from the ignition, should it be ON when the key is turned on? or should the voltmeter be connected to permanent live and be showing 12-14V all the time even when the ignition is Off?

I apologise if I sound like i dont know anything about electrics because i really dont! :D Mechanical stuff Im OK but when it comes to electrics im useless.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Syed

splice into the ignition live circuit, that'll be the one with the white wire on the fuse box...
