1992 Cooper SPI Standard

(Sportspack arches i think)

When turning left or right or going over bumps it sounds as if my wheel is bottoming out on the arches and or rubbing. it is really apparent if there is a pasenger in the car.

I have had some relevant advice and it could be the knuckle joints. it is more apparent on the nearside as opposed to the offside.

Any ideas most welcome.

My 1990 Mini Cooper was low at the front (more so on the N/S) when I bought it in 1994.

In 1996 I fitted Adjusta-Ride adjustable suspension (like Hi-Lo's which included new knuckle joints) and it's been fine ever since.

I really should replace the rubber springs (donuts), but I haven't as yet.

You're going to need a cone compressor too: -

This thread might prove useful too, even though it relates to fitting the Moulton Smootharide Suspension system: -

Just had a very reasonable quote to get the job done form Williams Minis - Peterborough so will be going there as it will save the kids learning new and previously unheard of swear words!!!!!

Use Williams minis a lot and really top job and nice bloke too!
