Have you looked at the spark plugs? They could tell you if any one cylinder isn't firing...
Alternatly, take a look at everything in the dark. If you can see any blue light/sparls then find out where it's coming from and replace it.

i put them back on the ones they came off but it was like it when i got it so ? left to right looking at the engine the first lead goes on the left second goes on the top third goes on the bottom and last one goes on the right , do you know if this is rightAre you sure you've got all the leads on the right way? I stupidly did this once and it spluttered lots. Otherwise could be that your points arn't adjusted correctly, too large a gap and there'd be a weak spark but the points would look ok

How do you know this is electric related? have you tested everything with a multimeter?. It could well be that the needle valve in the float chamber lid needs cleaning/replacing.

to be honest mate i aint got a clue what it is i just put it down to that but thinking about it it does sound like it could be something to do with the carbthe cylinder firing order of the mini engine is 1-3-4-2

Inspect ALL the ignition components. Are the plug wires cracked or brittle? Are there cracks or carbon looking lines on the dizzy cap and/or rotor? Are the plugs badly carbon fouled? Replace any suspect parts.
With the engine cold set the valve clearances (0.012" if stock ratio arms).
Remove and dress or fit new points.
Set the points gap. As stated above 0.015" or 0.016" is correct.
Once those items are addressed, set the static timing and start the engine. Set the final timing by light if you have one.
If these steps haven't addressed your running problem, fit a new condenser... just because. If that fails to address the problem, THEN move on to the carb.
