hi people just wondering what dials clocks or guages people have in there minis im looking ot get rid of my chrome smiths ones and the black and yellow vdo guages i have i whant to get some modern sporty ones like in the latest mini world the ornage mini something like he's if any one has any pics or some for sale or no's were i can get them cheap it would be very helpfull cheers

Do you mean like voltage, oil pressure, water temp, vaccum, etc?

yer and speedo's i whant to no if anyone has fitted modern ones rather than smiths ones like brightly coloured dials and smoke screend ones?

Can't say I've fitted a different speedo, don't really see the need, but I will be putting in some gauges though.

see i have bought a dash aand i dont understand how to use original guages also my petrol metere thing dosent work so i whant to get rid of them and i whant something to match the rev counter and oil guages iv bought

Most of the after market dashes just sit in front of the original clocks. You could fit new faces and lenses if you wanted, but I doubt you'd be able to read the original speedo through one that dark.

fuel gauge could be a loose wire or the sender in the tank, both more likely than the gauge itself.

Minili's thread on her Mini Minty has some piccies 'n info on how not to remove the instrument trim :lol:

It's near the end

Minispares do replacement instrument dials, as do lots of others on the web

na its the back of the guage the plastic sheet with the gold strips all over it thats burnt out some how
