The childishness of grown men never ceases to amaze me.

Do you want me to forward him the link to this thread to give him some bandwidth to respond?

look, at the end of the day if he cant handle a few comments on his "opinions" he shouldn't publish them in an international magazine.

to be honest, i think hes deliberately writing "controversial" articles and has been since he joined the mag.

you do whatever you have to do, i couldent give a ....

Yes please

Will do.

the only thing more fun than ripping in to someone else's opinion is a toe to toe slanging match :w00t:

Especially when the protagonists are miles apart & shouting at each other behind the relative security of their monitors.

International writers deliberately put themselves "out there" & expect criticism from people like you. It just struck me that the target of your bile should be given an arena to respond. Fair's fair.

I imagine he is. And you fell for it.

Didn't think you would, somehow, Annie.

Front rads are also prone to damage, I've never had to replace a mini one but have lost a couple of front mounted one's to salt corrosion and road debris.

BMC did make a small, inline, A Series powered with steel springs: the Moggy 1000, designed by a chap called Issigonis. It was out performed 'n outsold by the Mini so they stopped making it at the start of the 70's.

well then we can just ask him nicely if he wouldn't mind writing something nice about the mini for a change, instead of just slating it.

why do we have to worry about upsetting him ??? he's the one that's writing the "rubbish".

JuJu, do you really think that the worlds all sunshine and flowers ???? every time someone decides to "disagree" with something and have a heated but healthy discussion about it you go all PC on us.

You can indeed.

I didn't say you did have to worry about his feelings, Annie. That's just your conscience telling you that.

I sort of understand what you are saying but:

If you ever rally a mini on mud/loose surface you will know the rad does get caked in mud looses airflow and therfore heat rejection.

It rubber suspension is so good why do the tuning boys change to coilovers?

Because it's the latest piece of bling that sells, or alternate engine's are fitted.

2 Pennies worth coming in.....why would you start writing in a fan-based magazine on the mini about the design faults and problems when the readership is going to be full of people that know and love minis down to the ground....you're just asking for trouble, surely??

I agree with you but many of the bling merchants wouldn't !!
Why should different engines effect it other than weight differences?

Does writing about what is so wonderful about the mini not get boring sometimes?
